On February 26, BYD presented eight new energy models at the Geneva Motor Show to further expand its global layout, promote green mobility and help the global energy green transition.

At the launch event, BYD demonstrated its self-developed DM-i super hybrid technology to European consumers for the first time and unveiled the model equipped with the technology - Song PLUS DM-i (named SEAL U DM-i in the overseas version). The model will be launched in Europe in the second quarter of 2024, aiming to meet the diversified mobility needs of European users and provide an efficient and energy-saving driving experience.

Shu Youxing, General Manager of BYD's European Vehicle Sales Division, said, "16 years ago, we brought the first generation of DM technology to the Geneva Motor Show. After several rounds of technology iterations, today we are bringing the innovative DM-i Super Hybrid technology, and consumers in Europe will experience the many advantages of this power technology. BYD believes that this technology can be a key force in driving the green mobility transition, allowing more consumers to embrace electric vehicles."

At the show, BYD's million-dollar high-end new energy vehicle brand, Yangwang, made its first appearance in Europe, and its first flagship model, the Yangwang U8, became the center of attention on the floor of the Geneva Motor Show thanks to its disruptive technology and outstanding performance.

Wolfgang Egger, BYD's design director, gave an in-depth explanation of the design concept of Yangwang U8 at the conference, interpreting BYD's unique insights into the future of mobility and its pursuit of artistic aesthetics. He said, "The design aesthetics of the Look Up evokes emotions, and the new energy technology it uses makes life more enjoyable. Rangoon is the embodiment of sustainable luxury."

Following its debut at the Munich Motor Show in Germany last September, BYD's Tengshi brand has been on a hot streak, with its first luxury MPV, the D9, attracting many exhibitors to experience it. In addition, this time, the Tengshi brand also exhibited its intelligent luxury hunting SUV N7 to European customers for the first time.

As the official partner of UEFA EURO 2024®, BYD's new energy vehicles will be used as official vehicles to provide green travel services for the event. On the day of the launch, UEFA representatives were invited to visit the booth to learn more about BYD's leading new energy technologies and products.

In 2023, BYD's annual sales of new energy vehicles will exceed 3 million units, reigning as the world's champion of new energy vehicle sales, and its globalization strategy is steadily advancing. Since announcing its entry into the European passenger car market in September 2022, BYD has joined hands with local partners to rapidly introduce a variety of new energy vehicles to 19 European countries, including Germany, the UK, France, Norway, etc., and has opened a total of more than 250 stores, providing local consumers in Europe with high-quality localized services and diversified product choices. In the future, BYD will continue to use technological innovation and high-quality new energy products to meet the green mobility needs of European and global users, and help "cool the planet by 1°C".
