The EQE follows in the footsteps of many flagship models with excellent aerodynamics, following in the footsteps of the "world champions" in this field. The flat underbody and the large closed grille are the starting point for optimized streamlining. A great deal of detail work went into the aerodynamics. An adjustment to the design of the rear wing may only have a 0.001 impact on the wind resistance. Then there's the cooling air control system with an innovative transverse louver design that makes efficient use of installation space. There are also sealed front faces, such as the closed grille with "Dark Star Emblem/Star Array" and the seal between the grille and the headlamps. The streamlined design of the A-pillars and the front and rear wheel spoilers are also available.

The new EQE is as long as an E-Class and has a wheelbase of 3,120 millimeters. Its exterior dimensions are comparable to those of the CLS. It has a range of up to 654 kilometers under WLTP conditions and 752 kilometers under CLTC conditions in China.

Inside, the new EQE is even more spacious than the E-Class (213 model series). The interior design and features of the new EQE are in the same vein as the EQS, and the interior as a whole remains luxurious, with tactile details that reveal the heritage of traditional luxury brands.

Important to mention is the rear-wheel steering feature that comes with the EQE. When driving in the city, it is as flexible as a compact car. The wheel steering angle is up to 10 degrees, which reduces the turning diameter from 12.5 meters to less than 10.7 meters.
