Chasing Light is bound to continue to carry forward and inherit this fine tradition. Compared with the AC asynchronous motor of the first generation Lantu FREE, Lantu Light Chaser has been upgraded to front and rear permanent magnet synchronous motors that take into account energy consumption control and power output. The two motors can burst out a maximum power of 375 kW and a peak value of 730 N·m. torque.

It is commendable that all series come standard with four-wheel drive. Although Lantu Light Chaser is not very advantageous compared to ET7 and L7 in terms of maximum power, the official nominal acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h still reaches 3.8 seconds.

In the future, we will also look for opportunities to test and verify it on real vehicles. If this data is true, the most likely reason is that the motor output power curve of Lantu Light Chaser has reached a later stage of failure. It is also more efficient to achieve the same acceleration capability by optimizing the maximum power output time. Brake-by-wire is also the current mainstream hardware upgrade direction for smart electric vehicles. It can not only brake each wheel individually, thereby significantly improving braking stability, but can also modify the software to adjust pedal characteristics and braking effects according to the driver's needs. . Lantu also uses the One Box brake-by-wire system for light chasing, which can increase response speed by 25%. Reflected in the data, the distance from 100 kilometers per hour to zero braking reaches 33.8 meters. Officials say it can accelerate and decelerate 10 times continuously without any degradation in power and braking performance.

What really tests the chassis skills are two scenes: "curves" and "bumps". First of all, hardware skills determine the upper limit of adjustment. Chasing Light's chassis adopts a front double wishbone + rear five-link independent suspension structure, and the use of aluminum alloy accounts for more than 90%. At the same time, the unsprung mass can be further reduced through processes such as hollow casting, forging, and high-pressure casting. Secondly, the torque distribution capability of the four-wheel drive system adds to the handling. Lantu has developed its own IGBT power module, which is also the first IGBT module in China with completely independent intellectual property rights. For electric vehicles, IGBT is one of the core technologies, and its quality directly affects the speed of power release of electric vehicles. This also allows Chasing Light to achieve 0-100% intelligent distribution of front and rear torque, further expanding the control limits.

As the latest and most mature product of Lantu, a medium and large sedan cannot only focus on chassis and control while giving up comfort. Therefore, the "magic carpet suspension" that has been seen on the Dreamer is also installed on the Chaser. Similar to the Mercedes-Benz Maybach's magic body, the light-tracing front-view camera scans the ground at 30 frames per second. At the same time, the body's acceleration sensor monitors the vehicle's "lateral and longitudinal acceleration" and "steering" at a speed of 500 times/second. "Angle", the damping of the CDC suspension is adjusted at a rate of 100 times per second during driving.
