BYD's latest "BYD Shark" (tentatively named) new pickup truck with no camouflage appearance was recently captured in Mexico. The photo comes from the famous local automotive media " AutoDiná " mico 》. According to reports, BYD 's first new energy pickup truck will make its debut in Mexico, with further operations expected in mid-May.

This medium-sized pickup truck is developed on the DMO (Dual ModeOff -Road) platform. It is a model specially developed for hard-core off-road vehicles.

From the appearance, this car has an eye-catching BYD logo and a C-shaped headlight combination, which is reminiscent of large pickup trucks such as Ford F- Series pickups and Chevrolet Silverado. In addition, there is a silver guard plate and a black plastic anti-scratch sheet on the bottom of the car body, making it better able to drive on complex roads.

Internally, Shark will use the same interior decoration as the Leopard 5 Equation, including a 12.3- inch LCD instrument and a 15.6- inch touch screen . On the central control panel, there is an airplane-like Gear knob and buttons.

As for the power system, it has not been announced yet, but the appearance of Shark is very similar to Black Panther 5. For example, the 1.5 T+ dual-motor hybrid system has a maximum power of 677 horsepower and 760 N. m. It is equipped with a 31.8 kWh blade battery and can reach a maximum range of 125 kilometers and a maximum range of 1,200 kilometers.

BYD has confirmed that the car will be imported into Australia and South Africa. Its "Shark" has been registered in South Africa and is officially named "Hai Shark". In addition, this car can also be divided into left and right modes to meet different market needs.

BYD competes fiercely with Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger, Mitsubishi Mitsui and other companies. This type of model generally does not go deep into intelligence and new energy drive modes, and this is the strength of BYD's new cars.

In China, Great Wall pickup trucks have been deeply cultivated for many years, and Great Wall cannons have become a rising star in South America, Africa, Oceania and other places.

With the addition of BYD, the competition between the two companies will become more intense, especially in the new energy field. The Great Wall Haval H6 has maintained the monthly sales top spot in the SUV market for more than 80 consecutive months, and BYD 's hybrid SUV "Song" has replaced this record.
