According to the November sales data released by the passenger association, in the November 2023 new energy vehicle model sales ranking, Model Y sales of 58,433 units, ranked first, down 15.43% from the same period last year. Seagull ranked second with 44,603 units sold, with cumulative sales of 229,692 units this year. 40,798 units of Yuan PLUS were sold in November, ranking third, up 38.76% from the same period last year, with cumulative sales of 371,187 units this year.



BYD's new-energy vehicle sales reached 341,000 units in December 2023, continuing to set a new record for its single-month sales, compared with its sales of 235,000 units in the same period last year, according to data released by BYD on January 1, 2024, the company said. The new-energy vehicle leader achieved cumulative sales of 3,024,400 units in 2023, up 62.3 percent year-on-year, successfully realizing its sales target of 3 million units set at the beginning of the year.

In the structure of BYD's sales models, the proportion of pure electric is gradually increasing. Among the models sold in December, sales of the pure electric version were 190,800 units and 149,400 units of the hybrid version, with sales of the pure electric model exceeding those of the hybrid version by about 40,000 units.



Tesla, Ideal, Eon, Xpeng, NIO and other brands are following suit in terms of the number of cars sold as well as exported.

CCA released data showing that in 2023, China's automobile production and sales exceeded 30 million units, with a cumulative total of 30.161 million and 30.094 million units respectively, up 11.6% and 12% year-on-year, and the total volume of production and sales ranked first in the world for 15 consecutive years. Among them, the production and sales of new energy vehicles totaled 9.587 million and 9.495 million respectively, with a year-on-year growth of 35.8% and 37.9% respectively.

In terms of exports, the CCA data show that in 2023, China's automobile exports (excluding used car exports) 4.91 million vehicles, up 57.9%, of which 1.203 million new energy vehicles exported, up 77.6%, the growth rate exceeded that of the traditional fuel vehicles, accounting for 24.5% of the total automobile exports. In other words, at present, every 4 cars exported from China has nearly 1 new energy vehicle.
