In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the vehicle are 4997/1963/1440mm, and the wheelbase is 3000mm. The wheel-to-axle ratio of 3 times, the wheel height ratio of 2 times and the aspect ratio of 1.36 times create a sporty proportion. The 28° front windshield + 17° fastback rear + G4 continuous curve create a dynamic silhouette. At the same time, after adjustments to details such as frameless rearview mirrors, lidar, semi-hidden door handles, and 8 sets of air ducts + 17 air outlets throughout the body, the vehicle's wind resistance coefficient is 0.195Cd, surpassing the former champion Geely Galaxy E8 (0.199Cd), becoming the mass-produced model with the lowest drag coefficient currently on the market.


In terms of detailed design, the vehicle's features also include water drop headlights that resemble a "meter" light source, halo taillights composed of 360 light-emitting elements, and an electric rear spoiler with a maximum downforce of 130kg. In terms of color, SU7 provides three colors, namely Gulf Blue, Elegant Gray, and Olive Green. Xiaomi SU7 has two power versions, the 668km single-motor rear-wheel drive version and the 800km dual-motor four-wheel drive Max version. The two cars have slightly different hardware configurations and power parameters. In terms of motors, the rear drive is equipped with Xiaomi Super Motor V6 (United Motor Vehicles). In terms of power parameters, the V6 motor equipped with the single-motor version has a maximum power of 299Ps (220kW), a peak torque of 400N.m, an acceleration time of 0-100km/h in 5.28s, and a top speed of 210km/h. The dual-motor four-wheel drive version uses a V6s super motor. The maximum power of a single motor is 374Ps (275kW), the peak torque is 500N.m, and the power density is 6.78kW/kg. At the press conference, Mr. Lei also announced Xiaomi’s self-developed next-generation super motor: V8s. It was revealed at the press conference that the motor has been mass-produced and is planned to be put into cars in 2025. Compared with V6 and V6s, V8s uses a silicon carbide electronic control module with a maximum speed of 27,000 rpm. The maximum power of the motor is further increased to 578Ps (425kW), the peak torque is 635N.m, and the maximum efficiency is 98.11%. The power density is 10.14kW/kg.


In order to withstand ultra-high speeds, the rotor is made of a new generation of 960MPa silicon steel material, and the "stepped" design of the rotor silicon steel sheets is adopted. At the same time, in order to improve the temperature control capability and prevent overheating at high speeds, the V8s super motor also adopts two-way full oil cooling technology, including stator double-circulation three-dimensional oil circuit design and rotor S-shaped oil circuit design. It uses laser winding rotor technology and can reach a speed of up to 35,000 rpm in a laboratory environment.


In the research and development of high-speed motors, different brands adopt slightly different technical routes. For example, the Model S Plaid motor uses carbon-wrapped motor rotor technology, and Huawei DriveONE uses silicon steel sheets for its rotors like Xiaomi Super Motor.


Battery: 871V silicon carbide high-voltage platform combined with CTB technology, battery capacity 101kWh.


The rear-wheel drive model was not introduced much at this conference, but the corresponding data was still released. The battery is equipped with a 73.6kWh lithium iron phosphate battery provided by Fudi, with a CLTC range of 668km. The system supports 400V fast charging, and charging for 15 minutes can increase the battery life by about 330km.


The Max version is equipped with Ningde era ternary lithium Kirin battery. The entire battery system adopts CTB (battery and chassis integration) technology. The battery height is 120mm, the capacity is 101kWh, and the CLTC range (four-wheel drive) is 800km.
